Bell HR was established in 2010 by Alison Bell, we work with small and medium-sized businesses across Central Scotland and throughout the UK who want to manage their people effectively but don’t have, or need, an in-house HR department.
My clients value a personal, trusted relationship not a call centre. They want advice that reflects their business, their sector, and their commercial reality. I’ve supported organisations across a wide range of industries including care, haulage, hospitality, construction, facilities management, professional services, science, and engineering, and I understand the different challenges each sector faces.
Most of the businesses I work with are looking for reliable, ongoing support from someone who understands their organisation and can provide practical, real-world guidance. That support is flexible and tailored whether it’s a quick phone call for reassurance, clear advice via email, a video consultation, or face-to-face support when situations require a more careful approach.
My focus is on preventing problems before they arise, helping businesses put the right foundations in place and giving business owners confidence in their decision-making.

With over 25 years’ HR experience, I bring a straightforward, no-nonsense approach to people management. I am a member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) and am committed to helping businesses raise standards in how they support and manage their teams.
Before establishing Bell HR Consulting in 2010, I held HR roles with organisations including Sky, PwC, RBS and the University of Stirling. I set up my consultancy to work more closely with business owners and provide clear, proportionate advice that genuinely helps them run their businesses effectively.
