October Meeting with Guest Speaker Jim Duffy

Jim Duffy MBE founded Entrepreneurial Spark which is now the largest and most successful equity free business Accelerator opening its latest Hub in London this year. Entrepreneurial Spark has raised £200m in private investment into its companies.

One of the UK’s most prolific champions of entrepreneurship, Jim is now leading the Moonshot Academy, which is the “McKinsey for Startups”. It launched earlier this month and will focus on killing off short-termism in new venture creations.

Jim was awarded an MBE in 2017 for his services to entrepreneurship.

Jim is also a Visiting Professor at Napier University and, earlier this year, he saw the publication of his debut book, “Create Special”, which aims to inspire anyone to skill up whatever stage they are at in business or life. The book, which has already topped the business bestsellers in its first week on Amazon, was also named WH Smith’s Business Book of the Month. Jim said: “This book is for anyone who wants to leave a dent in the world. There is nothing more powerful and meaningful to you than your own mindset”.
