June AGM:
Speaker Stuart Harris

The Ibrox Suite, Ibrox Stadium

Tuesday 20th June 2017 | 12pm–2pm

Club President Neil Strong would like to extend a warm welcome to all club members and guests to our 30th Annual General Meeting. Business will be brief, lasting around 15 minutes.

Followed by our guest speaker who will lighten the mood post-AGM.

Stuart Harris, Fellow of the Professional Speaking Association:

Hi or as we say in Glasgow “how ye diddlin’?” I’m Stuart Harris and as you’ve probably guessed I don’t take myself too seriously when I’m off duty.

However, when I’m on duty I do take seriously what I do. I still use humour when I speak at events or run workshops, I believe that ‘people learn when they laugh and feel engaged’ but realise that I’m not doing a stand-up routine and always strive to make sure there are massive takeaways every time “I’m on”—if I didn’t, I would get fantastic feedback on ‘very happy sheets’ but the group wouldn’t develop and I wouldn’t be invited back. That’s certainly not the case (I’ve yet to knock on doors for new clients—my diary is full of repeat bookings or recommended introductions.

Since 1981, Stuart has held various Sales, Service and Management roles, as well as helping organisations such as BSkyB and Tesco Bank Insurance open new Call Centres throughout the UK.

He has turned around under-performing sales teams, developed and introduced his ‘Fillet Steak’ Customer Service Programme for a number of his clients. He has also helped clients, large and small, to improve Operational Effectiveness.

Stuart is a Fellow of the Professional Speaking Association, a Fellow of the Institute of Sales and Marketing Managers, a Member of the Institute of Customer Service, a Member of the Global Speaking Foundation and a Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development.
