April Lunch Meeting:
David Pierotti

David has been General Manager of Silverburn since centre opening in October 2007. He has responsibility for day to day management of the centre on behalf of the Joint Venture Partnership of Hammerson and CPP.

David has over 20 years experience in the retail industry and began his career as a trainee manager within Burton Menswear during the 80’s. Thereafter he moved on to manage numerous Burton stores before progressing to Regional Sales Manager for the West of Scotland region for Burton and then in a similar role for Storehouse.

He moved into shopping centre management upon joining Capital and Regional as Centre Manager for The Mall, Falkirk. During David’s tenure The Mall achieved several awards including Mall of the Year and David himself was acknowledged as GM of the Year in 2004. Whilst at Capital and Regional, David was tasked with assisting other GM’s in developing their business plans and marketing campaigns.

In May 2007 David was appointed Centre Director of Silverburn and was heavily involved in the latter stages of the development, securing valuable lettings, starting up the commercialisation area of the business and establishing himself within Glasgow business district. Silverburn has won many awards since opening, including the BCSC Ace Award for large scheme 4 times (customer care)

David is a family man; he grew up in Paisley and lives in the Barrhead area with his wife and two of his three children. He is a sports fan and in particular enjoys golf. David also likes to travel and has plenty of opportunity to do so as his two brothers living overseas.
